Columbus Zoo 50% off admission during the winter

Ready to get out of the house and take advantage of what Columbus has to offer? Right now you can enjoy 50% off Columbus Zoo admission until March 11.

You can make these purchases online or at the zoo! General admission cost for Franklin County residents is $16.99 for ages 10-59 and $11.99 for ages 3-9 and those 60 and older. Children under 3 years old are free. Outside Franklin county, tickets are $21.99 for ages 10-59 and $16.99 for ages 3-9 and 60 and older!

With 50% off, tickets are $8.50 and $6 for Franklin County residents and outside the county $11 and $8.50.

So what will you see at the Columbus Zoo?

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has over 10,000 animals across the globe representing 575 species from around the globe; 40 endangered and 33 are threatened animal species! At the zoo you will discover 6 regions and learn about those from each region.

Australia and the Islands

Animals in this region will include Kangaroo, Koala, Lorikeets, Komodo Dragons, Gibbons, and Komodo Dragons.

In this area, there is a Dinosaur Island Boat Ride (42” tall or supervising companion)

Asia Quest

In Asia Quest, there is a market and grill for food and snacks! Along this region, sloth bears, elephants, rhinos, and tigers are out for guests to see.

Heart of Africa

As you enter the Heart of Africa, you will come upon the opportunity to ride a camel! (2 years old and older) and if you continue walking you can also feed the giraffes lettuce!

Animals available for viewing include zebra, gazelle, wildebeest, cheetah, lions, and monkeys.

Congo Expedition

In the Congo, you will be able to observe okapi, grey parrots, aviary, gorillas, and bonobo.

If you need a drink or a sandwich, there is a market available.

Shores & Aquarium

Welcome to the beach! Close right? Here you will be able to see manatees, alligators, flamingos, Humboldt penguins, and tortoise.

There is a 4-D theater showing 8-12 minute videos, carousel (42” or supervising companion), there is a cafe available and a play park.

North America

There is a train ride here! One of my favorite parts of the zoo. Mexican wolf, bear, moose, bald eagles, and polar bears. There is also an opportunity to ride a pony.

Adventure Cove

Includes Three tanks, totaling 375,000 gallons, houses California sea lions and harbor seals there is A 60-foot-long acrylic tunnel offering 360-degree views will take visitors underwater as the playful pinnipeds swim above and below. A 250-seat amphitheater will host demonstrations with aquatic animals.
