There are so many options for taking a vacation…whether you are coming in from out of town or just want to get out of the house with a Columbus staycation, the Moxy Hotel located in the vibrant Short North Arts District is an excellent choice. The Moxy Hotel is conveniently located centrally in the middle of everything -industrial chic atmosphere, valet parking, and amazing Columbus city views.
Overview of the Hotel: There are shops and eateries in the contemporary hotel, suites, terraces, and balconies, and city views. The downstairs is happening with a lounge, fitness center, game room with pool table, and arcade games. Around this area, there are a lot of restaurants, bars, ice cream spots, art galleries, and more….

So first…checking in…was fantastic. Upon arrival, go up the elevator directly to reception. The room was ready and upstairs to the Penthouse I went! The view from the hotel room was incredible. A wonderful view of High Street and the Short North.
After getting to the room and looking at the amazing view, it was then time to check out the Short North……..going for a walk on High Street North as far as campus and South into the actual downtown makes for a lovely afternoon/ evening stroll.

Managed to stop by the ShakeNo8 and check out Late Night Slice. Many stores were open and the weather was nice to enjoy time outside and get a little exercise. Coming back inside, the Moxy Hotel has a vibrant atmosphere and has plenty of space to hang out with friends or to enjoy a fire. There is a bar, game tables, and tables spaced around the main lobby for conversation or to eat.

My favorite part of the stay was the incredible view at night as well as the room surrounded with flamingos! I really liked the chic vibe and it really made my Staycation Spring Break the best it could be! Check out the Moxy for a Bachelorette Party, a girl’s weekend, a date night, or a night away from it all. I promise it will be well worth it.
